The UK University & Apprenticeship Search Virtual Fair is taking place next week on Wednesday 20 October from 12 - 6pm. Students and parents can register for their free place here.
The event will feature a wide range of exhibitors, virtual campus tours, vital webinars, and the chance to win one of five £100 Amazon Vouchers. The event is perfectly timed to help year 13s as they apply to university, including two special webinars on How to Write Your UCAS Personal Statement and Completing Your UCAS Application, students can also speak directly with admissions experts to receive vital application advice, and find out what they look for in a candidate.
The event is also a fantastic opportunity for students in year 12 as they begin to consider their next steps after school or college. Students can explore their options by chatting with exhibitors and participating in the Careers and Employability, Student Life at University, and Degree Apprenticeships webinars.
Exhibitors will include the universities' of Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Kent,Newcastle, Swansea, Exeter, Aberdeen, Queen Mary, Lancaster, Middlesex, SOAS, Manchester Met, Liverpool, Southampton, Surrey as well as the National Apprenticeships Service. You can take part in this incredible free event anytime between 12 - 6 pm and generally students spend about an hour at the fair.

This informative & interactive 45 minute webinar will explore why some people choose to go to University. Inspired and led by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) - a part of GCHQ, girls in Year 8/9 in England can join free cyber security development days running this October. The CyberFirst Girls Development Day initiative is designed to increase understanding of the different specialisms within Cyber Security and equip girls with valuable, in-demand skills.
There is a series of fun, interactive face-to-face one-day courses as well as virtual courses which are split over two days, to choose from. There will also be guest speakers and inspiring videos from inspirational female role models working in the industry.
On the day, the girls will be role playing as cyber security experts working for a fictitious app company, Sirius Cyberworks. Unfortunately, disaster has struck and there has been a serious breach of the company network - a new flagship app has been leaked.
The girls’ role is to work through four different parts of the company, uncovering how the leak happened whilst learning new cyber skills along the way.

Young Professionals are hosting a University Preparation and Transition Conferences with the University of Bath for those thinking about going to University or wanting to know more about life on campus and after graduating on Friday 29th October at 9:30 - 16:30.

The University of Leicester has put together an online virtual healthcare work related project where students can find out more about the varied and rewarding careers available in the NHS, as well as what skills and qualifications they need to work in healthcare.
Students can complete the project in their own time and they will also have the opportunity to attend some live sessions, where they will be able to hear from healthcare professionals about their experiences and ask any questions they have. The project will launch on the following date:
· Saturday 9th April 2022
The project is completely free and is open to all students in Years 10 - 13. All students who complete the project will receive a certificate of completion at the end. Students can sign up for this project by completing this short application form.
On Saturday 23 October, ArtsEd Sixth Form in London will be hosting ‘Boys Day’ – an event aimed at those who would like to experience a day in the life of an ArtsEd Sixth Former. Boys Day is open to all in Years 9, 10 and 11 who identify as a boy and are looking to join the Sixth Form in the next couple of years. All abilities are welcome.
Boys Day is a brilliant opportunity to get first-hand experience of ArtsEd's outstanding vocational training and to work with our expert tutors. The day includes workshops in Musical Theatre, Contemporary Dance, Acting, and Jazz, as well as opportunities to talk to current students and take a tour of our wonderful new facilities. Pilot Careers Live event is being held on the 6th November and it might be useful for students thinking about an avaition career.
