GCSE Exam Results

Kingswood school is delighted to be celebrating significant improvements in its GCSE exam results.

The school has seen performance in all key aspects raised with nearly half of students achieving 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths and the percentage of students achieving the expected levels of progress in English and Maths improving by 14% and 17% respectively.

There were a number of outstanding individual results including:

  • Jasmine Owens - 5A*, 4A, 1B
  • Tara Broadhurst - 4A*, 4A, 2B
  • Emily Keir - 4A*, 1A, 6B
  • Kyle Mair - 4A*, 1A, 5B
  • Sean McManus - 2A*, 3A, 3B

Headteacher, Scott Hudson said "We are extremely pleased with these results which are testament to the commitment and hard work of students, professionalism of the staff at the school and support of parents.

We would like to pass on our heartfelt congratulations to the students and wish them the very best of luck for their future.

The results represent major improvements at a time of well-publicised changes to marking and grading systems.  It confirms that we are moving in the right direction as we seek to raise aspirations and achievements throughout Year 7 to 13 in order to become an outstanding school."
