Sixth Form Trip to Twycross Zoo

On Friday 11th March, the Year 12 and 13 Biology group visited Twycross Zoo.  The purpose of the visit was to broaden students' knowledge of biodiversity and evolution.

We left school at 8.15 a.m. and arrived at Twycross at 10.30 a.m.  During the day we listened to zoo staff talking about the various endangered animals in the zoo including the Amur Leopard of which there are only 30-36 still living in the wild.

We also explored the zoo to see the various species kept there.

We got back to school at 5pm.  It was a very informative and enjoyable day.
